How having a coffee break can be helpful

Sometimes, while at work, you might get tired after being stressed all day. Maybe your colleague ask you out for a coffee break, you may feel spending the time on more work is better, but it isn't.

The time can actually help you to work more effective as you have suppressed a few stress.
So, when next you get a request for a coffee break, think of the good it might do to you.

1. You give your eyes a rest
While been glued to the screen of a laptop or desktop all day, it have a bad effect on your eyes. Having a coffee break gives you a quick rest which might be what exactly you need.
Even health advisers have warned a lot about the disadvantages of staying glued to a computer screen all day.
They say it is bad for your eyes as it might develop faults later in life. So this is an opportunity for you to prevent it.

2. It takes away distractions
While at work, a lot of things will distract you and give you problems. This is an opportunity to break free from those distractions for a few minutes and think straight.
While chatting with your colleague over coffee, you can talk about off work topics about things happening around you.
Also, if it is about work, you are more focused and get straight to the point as you are free from distractions

3. It might be a chance to exchange ideas
You might have been worried about something all this while, maybe you are reluctant to share. A talk over coffee will give more confidence to talk your mind out.
You can use it to test run an idea of your and how it will be reacted to. You can also learn a few things from the other party.

4. It gives you a chance to stand and stretch out
Sitting on a chair all day long is not good. Having a coffee give you an opportunity to stretch your legs.
It has been proven by health experts that heart related diseases, cancer are caused as a result of less exercise. It is advised to at least stand up every hour.

While going out with someone for a meal may be tedious, having a coffee is a swift way of meeting with colleagues and getting familiar with them. You can get to talk about work and how you can help each other to make work easier.

6. It gives you an opportunity know people better
When you go drinking coffee with people, you get to know them better. You get to talk not only about work, but also about things not related to work like sports, politics etc. When you know each other better, they will want to help you out in any situation where their help is needed.

7. It is a neutral ground
When you and a colleague want to meet in a neutral place, the coffee shop is perfect for the job.
